HOUSE BILL NO. 2

AN ACT APPROPRIATING MONEY FOR THE OPERATION OF THE FIRST SPECIAL SESSION OF THE 56TH LEGISLATURE CONVENING JUNE 15, 1999, AND FOR OTHER RELATED LEGISLATIVE PURPOSES; PROVIDING TECHNICAL CORRECTIONS IN RELATION TO CERTAIN APPROPRIATIONS MADE DURING THE REGULAR SESSION OF THE 56TH LEGISLATURE; AND PROVIDING AN IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:
Section 1. Appropriation for special session. The following amounts are appropriated from the general fund to the legislative branch (agency 1104) for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1999, for costs of the special legislative session of June 1999:
1. Senate (25) $29,000
2. House of Representatives (26) 50,000
3. Legislative Services Division (22) 2,000
Section 2. Technical adjustment to department of livestock appropriation. There is appropriated $50 from the general fund to the department of livestock, alternative livestock programmatic environmental impact statement program (biennial/OTO), to meet the requirement of section 30, Chapter 574, Laws of 1999 (Senate Bill No. 361), that the 1999 legislature appropriate a total of $67,050 lest Senate Bill No. 361 be void.
Section 3. Appropriation for Chapter 563, Laws of 1999. There is appropriated to the department of administration $600,000 for fiscal year 2000 and $600,000 for fiscal year 2001 from coal producer's license tax proceeds allocated to the department in section 16(4), Chapter 563, Laws of 1999. The appropriation is for tax increment financing industrial districts.
Section 4. Effective date. [This act] is effective on passage and approval.
