     35-21-216. Person in charge has authority of peace officer. The sexton, superintendent, or other person in charge of a mausoleum-columbarium and any other person designated by the mausoleum-columbarium authority have the authority of a peace officer for the purpose of maintaining order and enforcing the rules of the mausoleum-columbarium authority, the laws of the state, and the ordinances of the city or county within the mausoleum-columbarium over which the person has charge and within the radius necessary to protect the mausoleum-columbarium property.
