     69-6-102. Prohibition on consolidation of competing telegraph or telephone companies. No telegraph or telephone company shall:
     (1) consolidate with or hold a controlling interest in the stock or bonds of any other telegraph or telephone company owning or having the control of a competing line; or
     (2) acquire, by purchase or otherwise, any other competing line of telegraph or telephone.
