7-6-4226. Consideration of tabulation by council -- preparation of preliminary budget -- exception. (1) The tabulation must be submitted to the council by the clerk on or before July 20.
     (2) Upon receipt of the tabulation, the council shall immediately consider the tabulation in detail and shall, on or before July 25, make any revisions, reductions, additions, or changes that the council considers advisable. The tabulation, with any revisions, reductions, additions, or changes, constitutes the preliminary budget of the municipality for the fiscal year which it is intended to cover.
     (3) This section does not apply to a municipality that has adopted the alternative accounting method provided for in Title 7, chapter 6, part 6.
