     81-8-504. Tax levy authorized. For the purpose of defraying the costs of such purebred livestock shows and such purebred livestock sales, the county commissioners are authorized and empowered to levy annually a tax not to exceed one-fourth mill on the taxable property of the county, in excess of the amount levied for county purposes, which taxes shall be paid into the general fund of the county.
