A Joint Resolution of the Senate and the House of Representatives of the state of Montana honoring Jefferson High School for being the first Montana school selected to participate in the American High School Theatre Festival.



WHEREAS, Montana's public schools educate the entire child with extracurricular activities comprising an integral component of the educational system; and

WHEREAS, Jefferson High School has long been recognized for its entertaining and innovative theater productions; and

WHEREAS, a panel of collegiate theater professionals annually selects 20 high schools to participate in the American High School Theatre Festival; and

WHEREAS, Jefferson High School has been selected as the first school from Montana to ever be selected to participate in the American High School Theatre Festival and will appear on the United States team at the world's largest theater festival, the Fringe, in Edinburgh, Scotland.



NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE AND THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:

That all Montanans congratulate Jefferson High School and take pride in the accomplishments of the students, teachers, and parents who have supported the Jefferson High School theater program.
