19-17-104. Penalty for false statements or claims. A person required to make a statement or affidavit by this chapter who willfully falsifies such statement or affidavit or a person who files a false claim under this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $500 or imprisonment not exceeding 6 months, or both.
