     19-8-504. State employer's contribution. Each month, state employers shall pay to the pension trust fund a sum equal to 9% of the total compensation paid to their covered employees. The department of fish, wildlife, and parks shall include in its budget and shall request for legislative appropriation an amount necessary to defray the state's portion of the costs of this section.
