     37-72-303. Licensure by examination -- fee. (1) The department shall, at least once a year, administer an examination to applicants meeting the requirements of 37-72-301 and 37-72-302 and the rules adopted by the department. The department shall determine the subjects, scope, and acceptable level of performance for all examinations. The examination may be written, oral, or both. The examination shall at a minimum test the applicant's knowledge of the rules of the department governing construction blasting.
     (2) An applicant for licensure by examination shall pay an examination fee to the department.
     (3) An applicant for a license who has previously taken and failed the examination required by this section may retake it at any time within 2 years without again furnishing proof of compliance with 37-72-302, upon payment to the department of a reexamination fee.
