     7-3-4322. Meetings of commission. (1) At 10 a.m. on the first Monday after January 1 following a regular municipal election, the commission shall meet at the usual place for holding the meetings of the legislative body of the municipality, at which time the newly elected commissioners shall assume the duties of their office. Thereafter, the commissioners shall meet at such times as may be prescribed by ordinance or resolution, except that in municipalities having less than 5,000 inhabitants, they shall meet regularly at least once and not more than four times per month and in municipalities having more than 5,000 inhabitants, they shall meet not less than once every 2 weeks.
     (2) Absence from five consecutive regular meetings shall operate to vacate the seat of a member unless such absence be authorized by the commission.
     (3) The commissioner acting as mayor, any two members of the commission, or the city manager may call special meetings of the commission upon at least 12 hours written notice to each member of the commission, served personally on each member or left at his usual place of residence.
