     19-3-2134. (Temporary) Legislative oversight committee -- reports and recommendations by board -- study of health care costs and disability provisions. (1) The legislative council shall provide for an appropriate interim legislative committee to oversee the implementation of the defined contribution plan established pursuant to this part and to act as a steering committee on matters of policy.
     (2) The board shall consult with and provide regular progress reports to the committee and shall make recommendations regarding the design and implementation of the defined contribution plan.
     (3) The committee shall also examine:
     (a) options for addressing the cost of postretirement health insurance and other medical care for public retirees; and
     (b) options for providing disability benefits for public retirees. (Terminates July 1, 2001--sec. 81(1), Ch. 471, L. 1999.)
