     85-7-1507. Conflict of interest -- criminal penalty. No commissioner or any other officer named in this chapter may in any manner be interested, directly or indirectly, in any contract awarded or to be awarded by the board or in the profits derived therefrom. For any violation of this provision, such officer is guilty of a misdemeanor and his conviction thereof shall work forfeiture of his office and he shall be punished as provided in 45-7-401.
