AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF FISH, WILDLIFE, AND PARKS TO HIRE TWO HALF-TIME EMPLOYEES, INCLUDING ONE STUDENT FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF MONTANA AND ONE STUDENT FROM MONTANA STATE UNIVERSITY, TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GAME WARDEN TRAINEE PROGRAM; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:



     Section 1.  Appropriation. (1) The following is appropriated from the general license fund to the department of fish, wildlife, and parks:

     Fiscal year 2002 $32,331

     Fiscal year 2003 32,968

     (2)  The appropriation must be used to hire two half-time employees, including one student from the university of Montana and one student from Montana state university, to participate in the game warden trainee program.



     Section 2.  Effective date. [This act] is effective July 1, 2001.
