     13-1-203. Chief election officer to advise, assist, and train. The secretary of state shall advise and assist election administrators with regard to application, operation, and interpretation of Title 13, except for chapter 35, 36, or 37, and the implementation and operation of the National Voter Registration Act of 1993, Public Law 103-31. The secretary of state shall hold at least one workshop every 2 years to provide training and assistance to election administrators. Election administrators must be reimbursed, from funds appropriated to the secretary of state, for their mileage and expenses for attending the workshops at the rates set for mileage and expenses in 2-18-501 through 2-18-503. At the discretion of the secretary of state and within the budget limits allowed for workshops, the workshops may be held in several sessions at separate locations in the state.
