Title 25, Chapter 20 -- RULES OF CIVIL PROCEDURE


     Rule 1. Scope of rules. These rules govern the procedure in the district courts of the state of Montana in all suits of a civil nature whether cognizable as cases at law or in equity, with the exceptions stated in Rule 81; provided, however, that the discovery procedures set forth in Rules 26 through 37, inclusive, shall be applicable to proceedings in probate. They shall be construed to secure the just, speedy, and inexpensive determination of every action.
