     30-13-204. Filing application for registration -- issuance of certificate. (1) One original and one copy of application for registration of an assumed business name shall be executed and delivered to the secretary of state. If the secretary of state finds the application complies with the provisions of this part, he shall, when all fees have been paid as provided in this part:
     (a) endorse on the original and the copy the word "filed" and the month, day, and year of the filing thereof;
     (b) file the original in his office; and
     (c) issue a certificate of registration, to which he shall affix the copy.
     (2) The certificate of registration, together with the copy of the application for registration of an assumed business name affixed thereto by the secretary of state, shall be returned to the applicant.
     (3) The registration of an assumed business name remains in effect until canceled.
