A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT PROHIBITING EXPENDITURES FOR THE CAPITOL-FOR-A-DAY PROGRAM; AND PROVIDING AN IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE DATE."

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 1.  Prohibition on expenditures for capitol-for-a-day program -- sunset provision. The governor, secretary of state, auditor, attorney general, superintendent of public instruction, and any agency, as defined in 17-7-102, may not expend state money or use state employees' time on the capitol-for-a-day program between enactment of this section and January 1, 2008.

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 2.  Effective date. [This act] is effective on passage and approval.
