A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT TRANSFERRING $5 MILLION FROM THE STATE GENERAL FUND TO THE TREASURE STATE ENDOWMENT STATE SPECIAL REVENUE ACCOUNT; APPROPRIATING THE TRANSFERRED FUNDS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE FOR A GRANT TO THE LOCKWOOD WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT IN YELLOWSTONE COUNTY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE."

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 1.  Fund transfer -- appropriation. (1) There is transferred $5 million from the general fund to the treasure state endowment state special revenue account provided for in 17-5-703.

     (2) There is appropriated $5 million from the treasure state endowment state special revenue account to the department of commerce for a grant to the Lockwood water and sewer district in Yellowstone County. The grant is in addition to the amount provided for in House Bill No. 11.

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 2.  Effective date. [This act] is effective July 1, 2003.
