HOUSE BILL NO. 507
INTRODUCED BY BRUEGGEMAN
AN ACT REMOVING THE REQUIREMENT THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND INDUSTRY ADOPT RULES TO IMPLEMENT AND PREVENT CIRCUMVENTION OR EVASION OF THE CHILD LABOR STANDARDS ACT; MAKING THE ADOPTION OF RULES PERMISSIVE; AMENDING SECTION 41-2-117, MCA; AND PROVIDING AN IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:
Section 1. Section 41-2-117, MCA, is amended to read:
"41-2-117. Power to adopt rules. The department shall may adopt rules, including definitions of terms, to carry out the purposes of this part and to prevent the circumvention or evasion of this part."
Section 2. Effective date. [This act] is effective on passage and approval.
