HOUSE BILL NO. 590

A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT PROVIDING FOR SUPERVISION OF A CERTIFIED REGISTERED NURSE ANESTHETIST IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF ANESTHESIA."
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:
NEW SECTION. Section 1. Supervision required. Administration of anesthesia by a certified registered nurse anesthetist in relation to a surgical procedure must be under the supervision of:
(1) an anesthesiologist who is immediately available if needed;
(2) a medical practitioner licensed under Title 37, chapter 3, 5, or 6; or
(3) a dentist licensed under Title 37, chapter 4.
NEW SECTION. Section 2. Codification instruction. [Section 1] is intended to be codified as an integral part of Title 37, chapter 8, part 1, and the provisions of Title 37, chapter 8, part 1, apply to [section 1].
