     27-20-302. Powers of receiver. The receiver has, under the control of the court, power to:
     (1) bring and defend actions in his own name, as receiver;
     (2) take and keep possession of the property;
     (3) receive rents, collect debts, and compound for and compromise the same;
     (4) make transfers; and
     (5) generally do such acts respecting the property as the court may authorize.
