A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO PROVIDE GRANTS TO RESTORATIVE JUSTICE PROGRAMS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE."

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 1.  Appropriation. The amount of $250,000 for fiscal year 2008 and $250,000 for fiscal year 2009 is appropriated from the general fund to the office of restorative justice in the department of justice for the purpose of providing grants to restorative justice programs in local communities.

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 2.  Effective date. [This act] is effective July 1, 2007.
