HOUSE BILL NO. 767

A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT PROVIDING THAT AN INDIVIDUAL WHO IS NOT A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES MAY NOT RECEIVE PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN THIS STATE."

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 1.  Aliens not to receive public assistance. Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, an individual who is not a citizen of the United States may not receive public assistance in this state.

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 2.  Codification instruction. [Section 1] is intended to be codified as an integral part of Title 53, chapter 2, part 1, and the provisions of Title 53, chapter 2, part 1, apply to [section 1].
