7-14-2721. Disposition of excess funds after full payment for road. (1) After the payment of the whole cost of construction or improvement, any money remaining in the county treasury that belongs to the district must be refunded on demand. A rebate must be made on demand to any person who has not paid an assessment in full.
     (2) Demand must be made within 2 years from the date upon which the assessment became due.
     (3) Any money remaining in the county treasury after the expiration of 2 years for which demand has not been made must be deposited in the general fund.
