     71-3-1401. Lien of hotelkeepers. Hotelmen and boardinghouse and lodginghouse keepers shall have a lien upon the baggage and other property of value brought into such hotel, inn, boardinghouse, or lodginghouse by such guest or boarder or lodger for his accommodation, board, or lodging and room rent and such extras as are furnished at his request, with the right of the possession of such baggage or other property of value until all such charges are paid. Nothing herein contained shall be construed to give a lien upon property sold on the installment plan, title to which is to remain in the vendor until final payment.
