A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT REPEALING THE MONTANA LOW-INCOME TELEPHONE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM; REPEALING SECTIONS 69-3-1001, 69-3-1002, 69-3-1003, 69-3-1004, 69-3-1005, 69-3-1006, AND 69-3-1007, MCA; AND PROVIDING AN IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE DATE."
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:
NEW SECTION. Section 1. Repealer. The following sections of the Montana Code Annotated are repealed:
69-3-1001. Creation of program -- amount of assistance.
69-3-1002. Eligibility -- rules.
69-3-1003. Reimbursement for discounts.
69-3-1004. Administration -- rules.
69-3-1005. Annual reports.
69-3-1006. Federal requirements.
69-3-1007. Applicability -- voluntary participation or withdrawal.
NEW SECTION. Section 2. Saving clause. [This act] does not affect rights and duties that matured, penalties that were incurred, or proceedings that were begun before [the effective date of this act].
NEW SECTION. Section 3. Effective date. [This act] is effective on passage and approval.
