A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT PROVIDING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE AMOUNT OF COPAYMENTS OR COINSURANCE FOR CHIROPRACTIC HEALTH CARE SERVICES; AND PROVIDING AN IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE DATE AND AN APPLICABILITY DATE."

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 1.  Copayment or coinsurance amounts for chiropractic health care services. Any copayment or coinsurance amount for chiropractic health care services that is required by a health insurance issuer that issues, modifies, or renews individual or group health insurance coverage or by a group health plan must be equal to or less than 25% of the amount billed for the chiropractic health care services.

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 2.  Codification instruction. [Section 1] is intended to be codified as an integral part of Title 33, chapter 22, part 1, and the provisions of Title 33, chapter 22, part 1, apply to [section 1].

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 3.  Effective date. [This act] is effective on passage and approval.

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 4.  Applicability. [This act] applies to contracts or policies issued or renewed on or after [the effective date of this act].
