BY REQUEST OF THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE
AN ACT EXTENDING THE TERMINATION DATE FOR THE WASTE PESTICIDE AND PESTICIDE CONTAINER COLLECTION, DISPOSAL, AND RECYCLING PROGRAM; ELIMINATING THE VOLUNTARY WASTE PESTICIDE REPORTING SYSTEM; PROVIDING FOR EXPENDITURE OF REVENUE IN THE PROGRAM ACCOUNT; AMENDING SECTION 14, CHAPTER 465, LAWS OF 1993; REPEALING SECTIONS 80-8-111 AND 80-8-112, MCA; AND PROVIDING EFFECTIVE DATES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:
Section 1. Section 14, Chapter 465, Laws of 1993, is amended to read:
"Section 14. Termination. [Sections 1(2)(r) and (2)(s), 2, 3, 5(5), 6(2), 7(4), 8(7), and 9(3)(a)(ii), (3)(b)(ii), and (3)(d)]
terminate June 30, 1999 December 31, 2003."
Section 2. Repealer. Sections 80-8-111 and 80-8-112, MCA, are repealed.
Section 3. Effective dates. (1) [Section 1] and this section are effective on passage and approval.
(2) [Section 2] is effective when the department of agriculture certifies that funds in the account in 80-8-112 are completely expended.
