A RESOLUTION OF THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA CONCURRING IN, CONFIRMING, AND CONSENTING TO THE NOMINATIONS OF APPOINTMENTS MADE BY THE GOVERNOR AND SUBMITTED BY WRITTEN COMMUNICATION DATED FEBRUARY 3, 1999, TO THE SENATE.



     WHEREAS, the Governor of the State of Montana has made the nominations of appointments, below designated, that have been submitted to the Senate by the Governor pursuant to section 5-5-302, MCA:

     (1) As members of the Board of Aeronautics, in accordance with section 2-15-2506, MCA:

     Mr. Craig Denney, Park City, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     Mr. John Rabenberg, Fort Peck, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     Mr. Bob Palmersheim, Fromberg, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     (2) As a member of the Board of Chiropractors, in accordance with section 2-15-1847, MCA:

     Dr. Patrick Montgomery, Missoula, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2002.

     (3) As members of the Coal Board, in accordance with section 2-15-1821, MCA:

     Mr. John Sutton, Butte, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     Ms. Janice Riebhoff, Belgrade, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     Ms. Linda Jo Price, Lewistown, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     (4) As a member of the Board of Environmental Review, in accordance with section 2-15-3502, MCA:

     Ms. Kim Lacey, Glasgow, Montana, appointed for a term ending December 31, 2003.

     (5) As members of the Fish, Wildlife, and Parks Commission, in accordance with section 2-15-3402, MCA:

     Mr. Tim Mulligan, Whitehall, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     Ms. Darlyne Dascher, Fort Peck, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     (6) As members of the Health Facility Authority, in accordance with section 2-15-1815, MCA:

     Ms. Sheryl Hayden, Kalispell, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     Mr. Sidney "Kent" Brubaker, Terry, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     Mr. Greg Hanson, Missoula, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     (7) As a member of the Board of Horseracing, in accordance with section 2-15-1881, MCA:

     Dr. Skip Score, Helena, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 20, 2002.

     (8) As members of the Board of Housing, in accordance with section 2-15-1814, MCA:

     Ms. Teresa Lightbody, Helena, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     Ms. Waneeta Farris, Forsyth, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     (9) As members of the Commission for Human Rights, in accordance with section 2-15-1706, MCA:

     (11) As a member of the Board of Labor Appeals, in accordance with section 2-15-1704, MCA:

     (12) As members of the Board of Milk Control, in accordance with section 2-15-3105, MCA:

     Dr. Robert Clyde Greer, Bozeman, Montana, for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     Mr. Michael Kleese, Stevensville, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     (13) As a member of the Montana Arts Council, in accordance with section 22-2-102, MCA:

     Ms. Jennifer Earle Seifert, Troy, Montana, for a term ending February 1, 2000.

     (14) As members of the Board of Oil and Gas Conservation, in accordance with section 2-15-3303, MCA:

     Mr. Jack King, Billings, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     Ms. Elaine Mitchell, Cut Bank, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     Mr. Denzil Young, Baker, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     (15) As a member of the Board of Pardons and Parole, in accordance with section 2-15-2302, MCA:

     Mr. Patrick Fleming, Butte, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     (16) As members of the Board of Personnel Appeals, in accordance with section 2-15-1705, MCA:

     Ms. Mary Vagner, Missoula, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     Mr. Joe Dwyer, Billings, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     Mr. Lloyd Doney, East Helena, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     (17) As Commissioner of Political Practices, in accordance with section 13-37-102, MCA:

     Ms. Linda Vaughey, Helena, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2005.

     (18) As a member of the Board of Public Assistance, in accordance with section 2-15-2203, MCA:

     Mr. John Larson, Clancy, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     (19) As a member of the Board of Realty Regulation, in accordance with section 2-15-1867, MCA:

     Ms. Vicky Hammond, Missoula, Montana, appointed for a term ending May 9, 2001.

     (20) As a member of the Board of Regents of Higher Education, in accordance with section 2-15-1508, MCA:

     Ms. Lynn Morrison-Hamilton, Havre, Montana, appointed for a term ending February 1, 2006.

     (21) As members of the Hard Rock Mining Impact Board, in accordance with section 2-15-1822, MCA:

     Ms. Mary Taylor, Thompson Falls, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     Ms. Betty Aye, Broadus, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2003.

     (22) As members of the Board of Science and Technology Development, in accordance with section 2-15-1818, MCA:

     Ms. Susan Riplett, Billings, Montana, appointed for a term ending June 30, 1999.

     Mr. Dolph Harris, Sidney, Montana, appointed for a term ending June 30, 1999.

     (23) As a member of the State Tax Appeal Board, in accordance with section 15-2-101, MCA:

     Ms. Jan Brown, Helena, Montana, appointed for a term ending January 1, 2001.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:

     That the Senate of the Regular Session of the 56th Legislature of the State of Montana does hereby concur in, confirm, and consent to the above nominations and that the Secretary of the Senate immediately deliver a copy of this resolution to the Secretary of State and to the Governor pursuant to section 5-5-303, MCA.
