AN ACT ELIMINATING CERTAIN STATUTES THAT CONFLICT WITH SUPREME COURT RULES GOVERNING ADMISSION TO THE BAR AND THE PRACTICE OF LAW; REPEALING SECTIONS 37-61-101, 37-61-202, 37-61-204, 37-61-205, 37-61-206, 37-61-208, AND 37-61-209, MCA; AND PROVIDING AN IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE DATE.



     WHEREAS, Article VII, section 2, of the Montana Constitution provides that the Montana Supreme Court may make rules for admission to the bar and the conduct of its members.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:



     Section 1.  Repealer. Sections 37-61-101, 37-61-202, 37-61-204, 37-61-205, 37-61-206, 37-61-208, and 37-61-209, MCA, are repealed.



     Section 2.  Effective date. [This act] is effective on passage and approval.
