61-6-122. Suspension for nonpayment of judgments -- exceptions. (1) The department, upon the receipt of a certified copy of a judgment, shall suspend the license and any nonresident's operating privilege of any person against whom a judgment was rendered, except as provided in this section and in 61-6-125.
(2) If the judgment creditor consents in writing, in a form that the department prescribes, that the judgment debtor be allowed a license or a nonresident's operating privilege, the department may, in its discretion, allow the debtor a license or nonresident's operating privilege from the date of consent. The debtor's license or nonresident's operating privilege continues until the judgment creditor's consent is revoked in writing notwithstanding default in the payment of the judgment, or of any installments prescribed in 61-6-125, provided the judgment debtor furnishes proof of compliance with 61-6-301.
