The Education Interim Committee (EDIC) is a partisan committee of the Legislature that conducts interim studies related to education. The committee also provides administrative rule review, draft legislation review, program evaluation, and oversight for the Board of Public Education (BPE), the Office of Public Instruction (OPI), the Board of Regents of Higher Education (BOR), the Montana Historical Society (MHS), the Montana Arts Council (MAC), and the Montana State Library (MSL).
The committee's statutory duties are in 5-5-224, MCA.

Rules, Guidelines, and Procedures for Interim Committees - Adopted by EDIC June 28, 2023, with one modification: Committee bills will require a ¾ vote of the committee (6 votes)
