The State Administration and Veterans' Affairs Interim Committee of the Montana Legislature will meet by conference call next week to continue its study of the state public employee retirement system.
The meeting will be Thursday, Oct. 1, at 1:30 p.m. The public is invited to participate in the call in Room 102 of the State Capitol. Public comment will be accepted.
The committee is studying the state public employee retirement plans as directed by the 2009 Legislature with passage of House Bill 659. At next week’s meeting, members will discuss how they plan to get actuarial services and if they want to hire a consultant to suggest design changes to the retirement plans.
