Lawmakers will begin flocking to Helena later this year for the 62nd regular session of the Montana Legislature. They’re already looking for places to call home while they’re here.
Every two years, almost 150 legislators become short-term residents of Helena and need housing from January through April. The Legislative Services Division is compiling a database of properties that property owners wish to make available. While LSD will provide the information to lawmakers who request it, the agency will not play a role in transactions between legislators and property owners.
Legislators are interested in properties anywhere within the Helena area. Suitable rentals include rooms, houses, apartments, condominiums, mobile homes, motels, and bed and breakfast inns.
If you have housing available or would like more information, contact Donna Fletcher, Legislative Services Division, at 406-444-3064 or dfletcher@mt.gov.
