Legislative Budget Subcommittee, Sept. 8, 2 p.m.
Legislative Rules Subcommittee, Sept. 8, 3 p.m.

A complete agenda and other meeting handouts are available on the legislative Web site at www.leg.mt.gov/legcouncil. The public is welcome to attend and will have a chance to comment on the work of the committees.
Based on the recommendations of its subcommittee, the full council will discuss and approve a 2012-2013 budget for the Legislative Services Division. The budget will cover such expenses as interim committee meetings, branch information technology systems, the state government public-access television network known as TVMT, legislator participation in interstate organizations, and legislator training.
The council also will finalize a policy for registering media representatives and discuss what if any legislation it may want to forward to the 2011 session related to administration of the legislative branch.
The council will continue to work on Joint, House, and Senate rules, a study of legislative space needs, the creation of interdivisional staff teams, and the role of interim committees.
The Legislative Council is a bipartisan committee made up of legislative leaders. It provides leadership and direction for the efficient operation and improvement of the Legislative Branch, as well as oversees administration of the Legislative Services Division.
