Legislative Environmental Policy Office

Staff of the Legislative Environmental Policy Office (LEPO), under the supervision of the Legislative Environmental Analyst, are responsible for assisting the Environmental Quality Council (EQC) in the fulfillment of its statutory duties.

Staff responsibilities include conducting studies assigned by the Legislature, researching and writing reports, organizing and monitoring public meetings and hearings, drafting proposed legislation, and staffing several interim and session committees.

The LEPO staff act as impartial and nonpolitical sources of information on environmental matters for the EQC, the Legislature, state agencies, and the public. Current staff members are:
