The Speaker of theHouse and theSenate Committeeon Committeeseach select oneperson from theirrespective housesto serve on the 9-member GamingAdvisory Council. The remainingmembers are appointed by the Attorney General. TheCouncil is charged with advising the Department ofJustice on changes to gaming statutes, the need foradditional or modified Department rules, and othergambling-related issues. The Council must submit abiennial report to the Department that includes theCouncil's findings and recommendations.
