Districting and Apportionment Commission

The Commission has completed its work as of February 5, 2003 (pending outcome of current litigation). The 58th Legislature considered numerous redistricting-related bills. For more information access the Preference List for Redistricting Related Bills User Name: redistrict, Password: redistrict

Senate and House District Statewide and Regional Maps - as of February 5, 2002 (districts have been renumbered and amended since December 6, 2002)

General Information:

In Montana, the Districting and Apportionment Commission has the constitutional authority to perform congressional and legislative redistricting. The Legislative Services Division provides staff support to the Commission. The Commission must complete its work to be presented to the 2003 Legislature for review. The Legislative plan will become law in late winter/early spring 2003 for the 2004 election cycle.
