Budget Analysis Reports are detailed, statewide/agency specific reports that are published prior to a legislative session in a multi-volume set. These reports reflect the general economic condition for the coming biennium, and include the analysis completed by the Legislative Fiscal Division on the budget submitted to the legislature by the Governor and other fiscal issues. These reports are used by the legislature during the session for budget setting.

LFD Revenue Estimates are published and presented to the Revenue and Transportation Interim Committee (RTIC) in November, prior to each legislative session. This publcation contains Montana economic outlook information and detailed information for each revenue source. The RTIC uses this information to estimate the amount of revenue that the state will receive during the next biennium. Once the estimates are adopted they are presented to the legislature through the LFD Budget Analysis Volume 2.
