     20-7-505. Transmittal of proceeds from fines and other sources. (1) The portion of the proceeds from fines and bail forfeitures, except those paid to a justice's court, which are to be deposited in the traffic education account shall be transmitted to the county treasurer by the court collecting them, in the manner and at the times that fines and bail forfeitures are transmitted to the county treasurer under law. The court shall indicate what portion of each fine is to be credited to the traffic education account. The county treasurer shall transmit monthly to the state treasurer, without deduction, the portions of the fines received, except those paid to a justice's court, which are to be credited to the traffic education account.
     (2) When a court is required to transmit fees, fines, and forfeitures directly to the state treasurer, the gross proceeds including the portion of the fines to be credited to the traffic education account shall be transmitted to the state treasurer and the appropriate portion shall be deposited in the traffic education account.
