37-30-310. Instructor's certificate required -- application and qualification -- fees. (1) Except as provided in subsection (3), no person may for a fee instruct another in the practice of barbering unless that person holds an instructor's certificate issued by the board.
     (2) The board shall issue an instructor's certificate to:
     (a) any person engaged as an instructor in a barber college on October 1, 1983, upon payment of the certification fee; or
     (b) any person who passes the instructor's examination given by the department and pays a certification fee established by the board.
     (3) This section does not apply to persons paying the annual license fee required by 37-30-424.
