     50-71-322. Procedure for worker to report safety violation. (1) A worker shall notify the worker's employer of any violation of law or regulation pertaining to safety of places of employment when the violation comes to the knowledge of the worker.
     (2) If the employer fails to remedy the violation, the worker may complain in writing to the department of the violation.
     (3) Upon receiving the complaint, the department shall forthwith inquire or make an inspection as to the safety of the place of employment. A copy of the report of inspection shall be given to the complainant.
