     53-1-103. Distribution of alcoholic beverages or drugs to patients at state custodial institutions a misdemeanor. (1) A person who knowingly sells or distributes or attempts to sell or distribute alcoholic beverages or drugs to the resident patients or inmates of a state custodial institution without permission of the medical staff is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, is punishable by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding 6 months or by a fine not exceeding $500, or both.
     (2) Nothing herein is to be construed to conflict with laws relative to inmates of the Montana state prison.
