53-4-703. JOBS program established -- purpose. (1) The department shall establish and administer a job opportunities and basic skills training (JOBS) program that meets the requirements of section 201 of the federal Family Support Act of 1988 (42 U.S.C. 602(a)(19), 681 through 686).
     (2) The purpose of the program is to provide recipients of aid to families with dependent children the education, training, and employment that will help them avoid long-term welfare dependency.
