     53-4-706. Participation requirements. (1) Except as otherwise provided in this section and 53-4-707, the department may require individuals to participate in the JOBS program as a condition of their eligibility for aid to families with dependent children.
     (2) To the extent that the program is available and that state resources permit, the department shall:
     (a) require recipients of aid to families with dependent children who are not participating in the FAIM project and with respect to whom the state guarantees child care in accordance with section 402(g) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 602(g)) to participate in the program;
     (b) require recipients of aid to families with dependent children who are participating in either the pathways or community service program component of the FAIM project to participate in the program if the department determines that it is an appropriate activity for the recipient and includes participation as a condition of the recipient's family investment agreement; and
     (c) allow applicants for and recipients of aid to families with dependent children who are not required under subsection (2)(a) to participate in the program to do so on a voluntary basis.
