     61-3-424. List of radio operators' special plates -- distribution to public officials. The department shall, on or before July 1 of each year, furnish to the chief of the state highway patrol, to the director of civil defense, to the sheriff of each county in the state, to the chief of police of each incorporated city in the state, and to other public officials as the department considers necessary, an alphabetically arranged list of the names, addresses, and license plate numbers and letters of each person to whom a special license plate or a combined license plate has been issued, and it is the duty of the department, sheriffs, and chiefs of police to maintain and keep current the lists for public information and inquiry, particularly in relation to public emergencies.
