     61-3-512. State parks recreational vehicle fee -- collection and expenditure -- exception. (1) There is a fee of $3.50 imposed on the registration or reregistration of each recreational vehicle as defined in 61-1-132, camper as defined in 61-1-129, motor home as defined in 61-1-130, and travel trailer as defined in 61-1-131. The fee is in addition to annual registration fees and is due and payable at the time of registration.
     (2) The fee must be collected by the county treasurer and submitted to the department of revenue to be expended as provided in this section. The department of revenue shall place the fee proceeds in the state treasury in the special revenue fund established in 23-1-105 to the credit of the department of fish, wildlife, and parks. The funds may be used to provide recreational vehicle services and facilities in state parks.
     (3) The fee imposed by subsection (1) need not be paid by a dealer for vehicles that constitute the inventory of the dealership.
