     67-4-201. Designation of airport influence areas. (1) A local government with an airport shall designate an airport influence area around the airport. The designation must be based on federal aviation administration rules and guidelines. However, an airport influence area may not extend more than 10,000 feet out from the thresholds of the primary instrument approach runway or exceed 1 mile in width on each side of the primary instrument approach runway and its extended centerline. A public hearing must be held by the local government following the procedure prescribed in 67-4-302.
     (2) A map of the designation must be filed with the county clerk and recorders of the affected counties and the city clerks of the affected cities and towns.
