69-4-506. Exemption for emergency repairs. The provisions of this part shall not apply to any person making repairs to an underground facility or repairs to the streets or alleys themselves in a situation of emergency when such repairs must be made within a shorter period of time than that provided for in 69-4-503; provided, however, that this exemption from obtaining information shall not excuse the person making the repairs from any liability for damages caused by his negligence.
