     75-6-215. Grant program. The department may make grants only to public water systems owned by a governmental agency, an intergovernmental agency, a nonprofit organization, an Indian tribe, or any combination of those entities that the state finds to be experiencing financial hardship or disadvantages. Grants may not be made in an aggregate amount that exceeds the sum of the interest collected on deposits in the revolving fund plus amounts deposited in the revolving fund by the state pursuant to 75-6-211. The department shall establish rules for evaluating and determining financial hardship.
